Peter Fong & Co Retail & Wholesale store in the heart of Suva for all your daily needs. In fact, it's hard to categorize what the store is with all the things that it sells.

Maritime deliveries to Koro, Lau, Kadavu, Gau, Lomaiviti, Oneata and Rotuma for wholesale customers. The shop has been around since 1956 transforming from the early version of a supermarket in Fiji to a specialty store now. Although some fixtures of the last few decades remain, a lot has changed with time. Although some of the older employees are no longer with us, the hospitality and the determin

ation to serve every customer as best we can have not changed. Through the years, our product lines have expanded to bring in more and better products to our customers. Our range can be as small as hand needles and safety pins to the larger items such as bags of 50kg sugar and cooking pots big enough to cook for a few families. The range is so extensive that some of the items are not even on display, yet customers who know us well would know all they have to do is just ask and enquire.Whether it is for your shopping needs, your partner in supplying groceries or like a lot of other customers who had returned just to reminisce the good old times, we welcome you to visit our store and start the conversation.

GLOSSARY

Non-made - a fishing net and fishing net alone.

Ready-made - the whole package; fishing net, floaters and lead sinkers all put into their rightful places and ready to go.

Inch - the size of the mesh, distance between the 2 knots when the mesh is stretched. It's directly related to the size of the fish you want to net.

Ply - the thickness of the net or the mending thread. How thick depends on your target.

Note that our glossary is not in alphabetical order. It's in an order that will make you sound like a pro. That's how you buy a fishing net.
