Homemade pizza for lunch. Just the ticket on a rainy day. It was delicious 😋

Can't beat a good homemade curry.

Tonight it was beef madras cooked with a piece of brisket. Long and slow in the slow cooker all day. It was so tender and absolutely delicious 😋

Wowsers I can't believe I haven't posted since September 2024.

Life has kind of run away with me, since we bought the new farm.

I'm still really enjoying cooking.

I am going dog training tomorrow with my young collie and we have to make lunch to share.

Iv made sausage rolls with homemade flaky pastry and free range pork mince from our pigs.

Even if I say so myself they are delicious 😋

Tonight we are using some of our Angus beef mince.

We are having spaghetti Bolognese 😋

Below is the recipe for how I make mine:

Ingredients:

One large onion 🧅
Four large garlic cloves 🧄
Angus beef mince 🐂
One tin of tomatoes 🍎
Two heaped tablespoons of tomato puree
One Tablespoon of herbes de Provence
One teaspoon of sugar
One bay leaf
One glass of red wine
Olive oil

Method

Saute the diced onion and finely chopped garlic in a little olive oil.

Once the onion and garlic is cooked, add the mince.

Cook the mince till it is no longer pink.

Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, herbes de Provence, bay leaf and wine

Leave to simmer for at least two hours.

Sticky baked sesame chicken

Ingredients

Chicken thighs

4 garlic cloves crushed

2.5cm cube of grated fresh ginger

1 and half tablespoon of soy sauce

1 and half tablespoon of sesame oil

3 level tablespoons of orange marmalade

Method

Mix all the ingredients together in a dish, then coat the chicken thighs in the sauce.

Tip everything in to a roasting tin and put in the oven on 190 for 30 to 35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.

Serve with rice or couscous
