🌲 A SNEAK PEAK INTO SEASONAL SAVOURIES 🌲

This week we have been working on what we are bringing your over the festive period.

🌲 SAUSAGE ROLL & SCOTCH EGGS 🌲

Both of these are firm favourites throughout the year, but with Christmas we can bring you more exciting seasonal flavours
Making our own sausage meat in small batches, we use the same flavours in both our sausage rolls and scotch eggs.

Sunday we had the great pleasure of helping out with the catering for Ricky’s 80th Birthday.
We kept it rustic , in keeping with the farmhouse setting.
We was super pleased with the look and again, received some amazing comments

🌲 SSSSSSHHHHHH…..

perhaps we shouldn’t mention it, whilst the sun is still shining and we can actually enjoy a bit of summer weather without burning to a crisp in a heatwave…

But with under 15 weeks to Christmas ( oh no I’ve said the C word) we wanted to let you all. Know what we can do for you over the festive season

We have advertised that it available throughout December but obviously if you are having a pre Christmas get together we are happy to help

So please bear us in mind whilst you are starting to plan your seasonal events

🥧 THIS WEEKS MENU 🥧

Here is the selection for this weeks goodies…and the Beef has begun its long slow cook in readiness

PIES -
* STEAK & ALE - this is a must every time, otherwise we get complaints!

* BEEF & BLUE - we have been cooking this flavour right from the start and I have to say it’s my favourite .
Succulent pieces of beef cooked in a rich ale gravy with added blue cheese ( Stilton not so easy to come by here), giving a real depth of flavour to every bite.

* CHICKEN & MUSHROOM- large pieces of chicken and sliced mushrooms cooked in a tasty sauce ( we are adding more sauce)

* CHICKEN & TARRAGON- a rich and creamy pie with large pieces of chicken, in an aromatic Tarragon sauce.

BAKES
* NEW - FAJITA FLAVOUR - Mexican spiced chicken with peppers, onions, salsa and cheese

* CHEESE, POTATO & ONION - packed using cheddar cheese

SAVOURIES-
* PORK, CRANBERRY & APPLE SAUSAGE ROLLS
* VEGETARIAN SAUSAGE ROLL

🎂 60th BIRTHDAY CAKE 🎂

Today we had the great pleasure of doing something a bit different….

A celebration 60th Birthday cake for a lovely lady. 🎂
The request was for the 6 to be lemon flavoured and the 0 to be in Chocolate and the rest was up to me…

We wanted to tie the two together so they didn’t look like two entirely separate cakes, but also wanted to them to be able cut and eat them without the flavours mixing together, so we decided to present them on separate boards.

For the decoration we wanted it to be feminine and delicate so not to overwhelm the flavours of the cakes, themselves.

Wishing a very happy Birthday to Tracy and hope you have a fantastic party.

* CHICKEN & MUSHROOM - succulent pieces of chicken and mushrooms, cooked in a flavoursome sauce.

* FISH PIE - a mixture of white fish, prawns, mussels and scallops, peas and egg, cooked in a white w**e sauce and topped with creamy mashed potatoes

* BREAKFAST PIE - packed with the best of a full English breakfast, sausage, bacon, baked beans, mushrooms, black pudding and tomato

BAKES

* BACON, BLUE CHEESE & MUSHROOM- a real taste sensation, this exquisite mix will tingle the fussiest of taste buds

* BLUE CHEESE & MUSHROOM - the perfect bake to satisfy the vegetarians and carnivores alike.

* TRADITIONAL SCOTCH EGG - take a boiled egg, wrapped it in quality sausage meat, coat in a double layer of breadcrumbs and cook it to perfection….voila

* TRADITIONAL SAUSAGE ROLL - this week we have the firm favourite, of the traditional sausage roll. Quality Lincolnshire sausage meat wrapped in puff pastry.

DESSERTS & SWEET TREATS

* HOMEMADE BANOFFEE PIE - this had to be top of the class for the restaurants cold desserts! Buttery biscuit base, layered with caramel, bananas and lashings of fresh cream

* WHITE CHOCOLATE KITKAT ROCKY ROAD - an old fashioned favourite that’s making a real comeback, with the difference of white chocolate and real KITKAT

* MILLIONAIRES BROWNIE - we have taken the humble brownie and given it the millionaires treatment.
