As a postpartum chef, I absolutely love creating cookies that feel just as indulgent as the ones you’d find in your favourite coffee shop, but made with more nourishing ingredients.
They were one of my favourite treats during my own postpartum.
No, they’re not part of a traditional postpartum menu, but sometimes a new mum simply needs something sweet with her afternoon cup of caffeine... And having cookie dough waiting in the freezer? That’s the kind of convenience every new parent deserves.
When I cook for my clients, I leave the cookie dough portioned into balls in the freezer, along with simple baking instructions. Freshly baked cookies, whenever the craving strikes. 🤍
These three recipes have taken months of testing and refining:
🍪 Spelt Chocolate Chip Cookies : made with wholegrain spelt flour, naturally richer in fibre and minerals, with a delicious nutty flavour.
🖤 Black Sesame & Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies : one of my signature recipes. They’re vegan, deeply nutty, and just as delicious with or without the chocolate chips. NEW item on the menu !!
🥥 Khorasan, Coconut & Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies : rich, soft and wonderfully decadent. Khorasan flour has a naturally sweet, buttery flavour and contains a different gluten structure than modern wheat, making it a beautiful match for coconut and dark chocolate.
