For centuries, the cork had to be removed in order to enjoy a glass of wine- that era is over. The Coravin Wine Preservation Opener keeps the cork in the bottle, where it's been since it was first sealed in the winery. Now you can explore your fine

When the Coravin Wine Preservation Opener is in place, a thin hollow needle is inserted through the cork to extract the wine. PRESSURIZE & POUR
The bottle is then pressurized with Argon, an inert gas that's in the air we breathe. Once the bottle has been pressurized, the wine flows through the needle and pours into your glass. REMOVE
When the Coravin Wine Preservation Opener and its needle are removed, the cork reseals itself. The remaining wine never comes in contact with oxygen and continues to evolve naturally. You must be of legal drinking age to follow us.

We’ve put this to the test with some of the most delicate wines imaginable. Natural wines, aromatic whites, zero sulfur bottles, red and white Burgundy.

Blind tastings with top sommeliers and winemakers around the world. Every single time, the Coravin-accessed bottles were indistinguishable from the control bottles, even after years.

When a secret cache of late 19th-century wine was discovered beneath a chapel at Becov Castle in the Czech Republic, the question wasn’t just what was inside — it was whether any of it had survived.

In 2016, restorers turned to Coravin Timeless to find out.

One sample. Cork intact. No damage done.
The answer? Still alive.

The bottles, mostly from 1892–1899, have since been restored by and are now on public display at the castle.
