In Chianti, terroir is often discussed. But single vineyards make it visible.

In our latest article we discover Selvapiana’s Bucerchiale and Erchi — two different readings of Chianti Rufina through Sangiovese.

The historical perspective was inspired by .winefoodtravel Marc Millon’s chapter on Selvapiana in his award-winning book “Italy in a Wine Glass”.

Bucerchiale, first produced in 1979 from 100% Sangiovese, challenged the traditional model of Chianti at a time when blending was still the norm.

Erchi, introduced later, adds another dimension — showing how responsive Sangiovese can be to soil, altitude and site.

Together, they create more than a range of wines.
They create a narrative of place.

Grüßgott Austria!

Last week we were in Austria, between Baden and Graz, together with our partner , presenting the wines of

During this trip, we attended two truly fabulous dinners at  Restaurant *Michelin owned by Florian Wörgötter & his wife sommeliere Julia Mausser in and  , from , founded within the modern winery nestled in the vineyards of , both offering a thoughtful and wine-driven approach to cuisine.

produces exclusively Champagnes. Francis Brulez began bottling his own production in 1991, and when Delphine Brulez took over the estate in 2006, she chose to follow the same path. She firmly believes that every vintage counts — each one a witness of its time and place.
The chefs were deeply inspired by this philosophy and created remarkable pairings, offering two vintages side by side with each course. This format suggested by .fischer1 from Schaumweinkontor allowed us to experience the nuances of time in the glass — even taking us back to the vintage 1998.

The chefs’ talent was evident in these subtle and precise combinations, executed with great sensitivity and attention to the smallest detail.
At , we are truly happy to work with outstanding professionals around the world and to share a common passion for great wines.

As featured in .profi a very nice article from Roland Graf :
Very Dry January: Champagne pairing without dosage in the “Thomas” Tattendorf. It’s often praised, but rarely tried: Champagne as an accompaniment to an entire meal. You can find the link to the article is on the first comment.

🥂✨ 93 POINTS! ✨🥂
BRAVO to for these excellent scores! 🍾🎉

German wine trade magazine Weinwirtschaft has released its ranking of 15 Champagnes under €50, selected through a blind tasting of more than 250 samples. 🍾👀

At a time when buyers are increasingly focused on value, clarity of style, and consistency, external professional benchmarks matter. ✨

From this selection, Louise Brison has been recognised with a score of 93 points. We are thrilled! 🥂🌟

Louise Brison wines are represented in Germany for years now by our partner Vinaturel , a well-established and respected player on the market. 🇩🇪🤝

Led by vigneronne Delphine Brulez, Champagne Louise Brison is a family-sized, organic, terroir-driven producer, rooted in the Aube, working with respect for the vineyard and a clear identity without excess. 🌱🍇

At this price point, the value proposition is particularly compelling for a Vintage Champagne — a segment where true character and precision are increasingly difficult to find. ✨🥂
