Her maternal family owned Champagne Piper-Heidsieck for over a century and her father, Claude Taittinger, ran the family business under the same name for 45 years. In 1986, Virginie Taittinger joined the company, where over a period of more than 20 years, she learnt all the skills necessary for the production of Champagne.

Why it’s so great: Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier develops stronger aromas, more body, more robustness and fruitiness. Therefore it’s much more exciting and tasty in comparison to a more Chardonnay driven Champagne. It is also more suited for aperitif due to it counterbalancing your empty stomach at the aperitif (to be honest it’s enjoyed at any time of the day and in any place).
