The positive energy of a brand new start 💫
Last year, we planted a whole new plot of our favorite variety, Grenache Blanc 🌱✨
Today, it’s time to install the trellising system — a big step forward toward a “real” adult vineyard.
In light of climate change, I chose posts that are shorter than in the past. The idea is no longer to tie up all the shoots to expose the grapes to the sun, but rather to create a support system that allows the leaves to hang down and provide shade. Another way to reduce sugar levels — and therefore alcohol — in the wine.

L’année dernière, nous avons planté une toute nouvelle parcelle de notre cépage préféré, le Grenache Blanc 🌱✨
Aujourd’hui, il est temps d’installer le palissage — une grande étape vers un vignoble 'adulte' et pleinement établi.
Face au changement climatique, j’ai choisi des piquets plus courts que dans le passé.
L’idée n’est plus d’attacher au plus haut les sarments pour exposer les grappes au soleil, mais plutôt de créer un support permettant aux feuilles de retomber et d’apporter de l’ombre.
Une autre manière de réduire le taux de sucre — et donc le degré d’alcool — dans le vin.
