Ch*****ne Gosset leaves this cuvée on its lees for at least 12 years 🍾

Ch*****ne Gosset traces its history back to 1584. You can spot its bottles by their shape, a legacy of the “antique” flasks used in the 18th century.

The 12 Years of Cellar a Minima stands apart in the Gosset range because of that extended maturation. Malolactic fermentation was skipped to preserve the fruit. Peach and mirabelle plum come first, then candied citrus, spicy ginger and the vivacity of blood orange, and the finish runs long and saline.

Serve it at 8°, and save this for the next time sushi or Brillat-Savarin is on the table 🥂

2019 broke all previous temperature records, one scorching heatwave after another. 54% of Louis Roederer Collection 244 comes from that harvest.

A dry, continental year where moderate yields met magnificent maturity, with picking from 10 to 21 September. The w**es came in dense and fresh. This blend also marks the return of the Meunier texture from the Marne and the Montagne, adding richness to well-structured, saline Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Wild peaches and Williams pears alongside blood orange, with a juicy concentration like biting into ripe fruit. Smoky notes from autolysis and wood ageing, a backbone of chalky freshness, and a salivating finish 🥂

Made only in exceptional years — forty-two vintages since 1952. That’s the bar Taittinger sets for Comtes de Ch*****ne 🥂

100% Chardonnay from the five Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs, a tribute to the grape Thibault IV, Count of Ch*****ne and King of Navarre, brought here eight centuries ago. The 2007 kept everyone guessing — a mild winter had people expecting an August harvest, then May turned awful and stalled the flowering, a cold summer dragged it out, and the sun only returned at the end of August. Picking didn’t start until August 30, and the fruit finally ripened perfectly.

Then the better part of a decade in the Gallo-Roman chalk cellars of Saint-Nicaise, 18 metres down. White blossom and Anjou pear, that lemon-and-salt tension, a crisp finish with hints of salted butter.

Aromas of strawberry jam, vineyard peaches, and gingerbread—then a palate that goes full summer: strawberry, raspberry, blackberry in whipped cream. 👌🏼

Charles Heidsieck Rosé Réserve isn’t following the regional playbook. First-press juices only, 3–4 years of maturation when most don’t bother, 5–6% red w**es vinified separately to build the structure.

The blend itself is precise: 40% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 25% Meunier—each vinified cru by cru, varietal by varietal.

The result is that powdery pink in the glass and something genuinely full-bodied underneath it.
