Perfected my carrot cake loaf for this October’s Winter Warmers cooking retreat HeartSpace House 🥰

I’ve actually come to enjoy really recipe testing! For so many years people have been telling me to write my recipes down and now I’m finally doing it!

There’s still one room left if you’re interested in this retreat and Spring dates will be out as soon as the flight timetable is available :) gimme a message if you want to keep updated! 💕

It’s not very often I make birthday cakes anymore and I do miss it! I used to make them every week and obviously, back then, it felt a little tiresome..

Just goes to show that when you have something, it’s easy to take it for granted and when you no longer have it, you realise that you actually loved it 🫠 maybe try to see something that your fed up with today as something you used to long for, that maybe one day you will miss doing 💕

This cake is from a few months ago with yellow cherries from our cherry tree 💕

Absolutely unhinged behaviour to be having sausage and mash in this weather but I’ve perfected my homemade seitan sausage recipe for my upcoming Winter Warmers cooking retreat! No more expensive, processed sausages for us!

I’m so into making tortellini this summer 🥰

Here with a lemon courgette cream sauce, griddled baby courgettes and micro radish sprouts from Les Pousses Vertes , roasted cherry tomatoes, shiitake filling and a lemon truffle oil drizzled on top 💕

A teeny tiny vegan croissant 🥰

Proof that even in this heat, it is possible to make puff pastry from scratch! These little beauties were part of a continental breakfast yesterday for the arrival of the peaceful co. | wellbeing experiences + healing treatments retreat! A lovely few days of delicious food and fun are ahead of us HeartSpace House 💕

Hi all! So our next vegan cooking retreat is 29th October to 1st November! 💃💃

It will be a Winter Warmers theme with lots of side dishes using seasonal produce, the ultimate roast dinner (perfect for Christmas), warming drinks (hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows anyone?), sourdough bread, sweet treats and more! You’ll also go home with your own baby sourdough loaf and a pot of very mature starter so you can continue at home! 🥰

Two full days of hands on workshops, 3 nights stay at HeartSpace House , an optional yoga class and optional relaxing sound bath, use of the hot tub, airport pickups and all your food included - flights from Manchester or Stansted are currently very reasonable!!!

€500 per person if sharing a room and €650 for single occupancy.

A delicious, refreshing strawberry mint cream cake for the last bites on this weekends retreat HeartSpace House🤤

One of the best things about being here in France is the quality of the fresh produce - from a chefs point of view there is nothing more important! Fresh mint from the garden and strawberries from the local farmers market 💕

One of my favourite dinners on this gorgeous retreat with Terrie this weekend!

Roasted carrot cumin hummus, quinoa tabbouleh, refreshing watermelon salad, freshly made falafel, tahini orange drizzle and sesame seeds 👌

We have a full house at the moment which means 15 hungry mouths to feed and I obviously love giving myself time off so decided to hand make vegan tortellini 😂

Stuffed with a mushroom, smoked tofu and caramelised onion filling and coated in a fennel seed, chilli and oregano butter on a bed of Sicilian aubergine caponata topped with some homegrown basil! Absolutely top notch if I say so myself 👌💕

We have the beautiful Terrie here this week for her first retreat HeartSpace House 💕 I’ve actually not seen Terrie in years so it’s been gorgeous to reconnect and have a chinwag! And god do I appreciate the trust from her in choosing to use our venue for her retreat! 🥰🥰

So breakfast this morning was warm banana bread, coconut chocolate sauce, roasted bananas, vanilla spiked yoghurt, berries and h**p seeds 💕
