He flew into the mountains while others survived.

Marco Pantani. Il Pirata. Small man, huge lungs, impossible attacks.
In 1998 he won both the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia.

His attacks in the mountains weren't tactics, they were theatre.
He didn't ride to win. He rode to disappear.

His story ends in sadness. But on the bike, in the mountains, he was untouchable.

Maglia Marco is named after him. The coffee for the final fight.

This is how you brew Casa Gino.

The moka pot is the most Italian kitchen object that exists. No Italian household without one.

1. Fill the bottom with cold water, just below the valve
2. Add ground coffee loosely to the filter. Don't press.
3. Screw shut, place on medium heat
4. Remove as soon as you hear the gurgling sound

Pour immediately. Drink slowly.

He rode the Tour de France and saved lives along the way.

Gino Bartali. Two-time Tour winner, Giro winner. But his greatest achievement never showed up in the results.

During World War II, Bartali smuggled forged documents hidden in his bicycle frame. Hundreds of Jewish Italians were saved. He stayed silent about it until his death.

"The good you do, you shouldn't talk about. Otherwise it loses its value."

Casa Gino is named after him. A coffee for home, for quiet, for the things that truly matter.
