LE BLAIREAU
Tanzania - 2026 harvest

A tribute to Bernard Hinault, La Vie Claire 1985.

Bernard Hinault did not race the Tour. He owned it. Every stage was territory, every rival an intruder, every challenge an act of provocation to be answered before the day was out. He attacked when he didn't need to, just so the peloton remembered who he was. The road was his and he made sure everyone knew it.

They called him Le Blaireau — the Badger. Small, fierce, and not to be cornered. Five Tours, the last of them in 1985, and a will that never accepted second place as anyone's natural conclusion. Pressure didn't shape him. He shaped pressure.

TASTING NOTES

This is a fresh drop of beans from Tanzania. The coffee has been specially selected as it just arrived from Tanzania to Europe. We call this an in-season coffee and that is why it is a limited offer. The coffee is truly bright with tasting notes of sweet caramel, a crunch of honey cracker topped with orange cream in the aftertaste. Perfect for many manual brewing methods as you want these bright flavours to live but we love a double espresso from it.

LE HOLLANDAIS
Indonesia - 2026 harvest

A tribute to Joop Zoetemelk, Raleigh 1980.

For ten years, Joop Zoetemelk finished second. Behind Merckx, behind Thévenet, behind Hinault — six podiums, no yellow, the eternal almost. The cycling world wrote him off as a wheel-sucker, the rider who couldn't quite. He did not argue. He kept training, kept finishing, kept being there when the others cracked.

In 1980, at thirty-three, he was the last one standing. The Tour was his. Le Hollandais Volant, the Flying Dutchman, the patient pursuer whose answer to pressure was to outlast it. The man who proved that refusing to break is its own form of winning.

MONSIEUR CHRONO
Costa Rica - 2026 harvest

A tribute to Jacques Anquetil, Saint-Raphaël 1962.

Jacques Anquetil never looked rushed - while the rest of the peloton fought for breath, he rode at a pace that seemed almost casual, and won. Five Tours, four of them decided in the time trials before the climbs had a chance to speak. Pressure didn't break him because he never gave it room to. He pulled it through himself the way an espresso pulls through a portafilter at nine bars: steady, measured, and out the other side as something concentrated and pure.
