𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗮
There’s always a reason to celebrate! 100% Riesling, organic farmed and hand harvested in Slovenia by young winemaker Delicious skin amber orange contact wine! Wild yeast fermented and aged in clay amphora. The juice and skins ferment and age for 200+ days in amphora, afterwards the wine is bottled unfiltered with no added sulfites. It’s slightly orange in color with some cloudiness. It’s very easy to drink with light and well integrated tannins, excellent acidity and tons of flavor. A special wine by any measure.

The Laurent family has been superbly sharing their passion for wine for decades, through the cuvées of Château L’Escart, produced from their vineyard in Saint-Loubès. Gérard and his team know that greatness in wine depends essentially on the greatness of the grapes. Exactly for that reason, they pay attention and take really good care of the vineyards, in order for the vines to naturally resist parasites with as little treatment as possible. It is clear to them how important it is to respect the soil that does not belong to them. Thus, each harvest preserves the full expression and richness of the terroir. At Chateau L’Escart they like to say: ‘Making great quality wines and respecting the land that we are borrowing from our children’. It is precisely for this reason, and their strong relationship to their terroir, that they decided to convert the vineyards to Biodynamic farming. This philosophy continues in the cellar, where only wild yeast is used in the fermentation.

Made from 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec from hand harvested 35 to 45-year old vines.

Claudia Ferrero and daughters Silvia and Pepita oversee Podere Pascena, a historic and intimate estate located in the southwestern corner of Montalcino, bordered by the renowned Argiano and Banfi’s prestigious Riserva vineyard, Poggio all’Oro.

Only about 600 cases are produced annually. The wine is aged for two years in two French Allier oak casks—21 hl and 30 hl—followed by an additional two years of bottle aging prior to release. An excellent Brunello di Montalcino by any measure, leans more modern with a delicious fruit forward style.

A rare bird that honours us with its presence only every now and then, when the stars align. A stream of lava capturing the very soul of its soil, the spirit of its grape, the ephemerality of nature’s gifts.

Extracta Pinot Gris returns after four years of hiatus, as this wine requires a specific set of autumn weather conditions. 2020 was one such year when the cold humid nights bringing fog and botrytis to the vineyards were alternated by sunny days that allowed the grapes to dry out and balance the noble rot by good phenolic ripeness.

This wine is a winemaker’s dream come true – it combines many contradictory features yet makes them work out in the end. Light and Dark collide and the result is not gray but incredibly intriguing, like a masterly-written novel that you feel compelled to read again, because you know that there are nuances and understories deserving a closer look, while enjoying its seductive style and ideas, even on a second read. New! Veluri wines are here from Georgia!

Veluri wines are dedicated to the wild and native grape varieties of Georgia, and the people who have kept alive the Georgian winemaking traditions for over 8000 years. Veluri wines are a collaboration between Terraneo Merchants and a well known, respected and awarded winery in Kakheti, Georgia. Veluri wines are consistent in quality each vintage and show purity of fruit through a more modern style of Georgian winemaking. The philosophy is one of excellence based in a blend of ancient and modern techniques. Respecting our inherited tradition of quality wine making we aim to produce fine wines that are reliable and speak of their origin. Wines are produced under strict quality control and are bottled in our modern bottling facility. The winemaking team is lead by oenologist Gogi Dakishvili. Wines available now: Saperavi Dry Red, Kindzmarauli semi sweet red, Pirosmani semi dry red and Mtsvane kvevri amber wine.

New vintages of Tchotiashvili just dropped!

Tchotiashvili family winery is led by Kakha Tchotiashvili, an artisan winemaker with a traditional kvevri cellar (marani) in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. He focuses on ancient local varieties, and crafts natural amber wines and reds according to the rich local traditions. Precise and meticulous in his work, Kakha Tchotiashvili is a quiet but stimulating force. His brother Ucha is in charge of tending the vineyards which they cultivate on organic principles. Kakha underlined that grape health, cleanliness, and relentless attention to the winemaking process are the essential pillars of successful Qvevri winemaking. Tchotiashvili’s amber wines are pure, fresh and superbly scented, with seducing floral notes, dry herbs, exotic spices, and an amazingly smooth texture. His red wines are always very elegant and consistent in quality. We have Amber/orange, reds and rose available now: Khikhvi, Mtsvane, Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Tavkveri, Saperavi, Rose Nista and Saperavi Reserve.

New Matic vintages are here!

Matija Žerjav aka Matic is the third generation of winemakers, and was only 24 when he took over the management of the family vineyards and winery. In the predominantly white wine region of Štajerska, close to the borders with Austria and Hungary, Matic cultivates 9 hectares of vineyards using organic and biodynamic methods. Forward thinking and always experimenting, Matic produces a wide variety of wines, all from his own vineyards: 'Mea' sparkling wines, Skin contact, Amfora aged and 'Picollo" Piquettes.


The winemaking area in Štajerska is located in the so-called ‘mountain wine zone‘, which can get very cold. Harsh winter is good for the vines as it disinfects the soil. The essential factor is a sharp contrast between warm days and cool nights. Matic explains that the more marl in the soil, the less water the vines have, causing their roots to dig deeper and deeper. There are a lot of mineral aspects to these wines – steely and salty with great acidity. No water systems are in place, as well as no fertilizers, just vines struggling in the best way, surviving in harmony with nature.

Matic exclaimed: ‘We work only with what nature gives us. So, no chemicals in our wines’. He chooses to use organic, sustainable methods and native wild yeasts not because of the natural label or trend, but because he firmly and unconditionally believes this is how wine should be made.

Johanna, Franz & Stefan...and Havas, their greyhound are at home in the heart of Austria, in Tattendorf, the Thermenregion of Lower Austria, 25 km south of Vienna. They have been farming organically for over 19 years, and today tend 30 hectares of vineyards around Tattendorf, Baden, Pfaffstätten and Gumpoldskirchen, 20 hectares of elderberry and 1 hectare of black currant. The teamwork of two generations, a lot of commitment and passion are paramount. In harmony with nature, they focus on the essentials: bringing the highest possible quality to bottle. Their climate shapes the wine style as well as our barren gravelly soils. Low yields bring fully ripened grapes, which are a guarantee for the best wines. This line of quality continues into the cellar and then into the bottle. The results are elegant, expressive and easy-to-drink reds as well as fruity, fresh and mineral whites. Wines available now: Pinot Noir Klassik, Pinot Noir Tattendorfer single vineyard, St Laurent Klassik and the rare Rotgipfler.
