Domaine de Baronarques Domaine de Baronarques : a Rothschild standard-setter for Languedoc wines After changing hands several times, the estate was sold to Michel Tisseyre in 1875.

Domaine de Baronarques is located in Languedoc, near Limoux, in the commune of Saint-Polycarpe. Bought in 1998 by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons, Domaine de Baronarques dates back to at least the 17th century, when the estate belonged to the Abbey of Saint-Polycarpe. The Tisseyre family extended the vineyards and, between 1890 and 1900; built an attractive house with a terrace

and garden. After extensive renovation of the vineyard, winery and cellars, Domaine de Baronarques has been producing high quality wine since 2003. The 2003 vintage, the first from Domaine de Baronarques, was also one of the first to benefit from the appellation AOC Limoux rouge, which had just been created by the Institut National des Appellations d' Origine (INAO)
