Lush, vibrant canopies and multiple flowering bunches forming in the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines - the result of higher than usual rainfall over the first half of the year and what is now warm, stable sunshine. Only 3 months to harvest!

We are very fortunate to have some magnificent trees in the grounds of the Domaine. From the mile-high Plane trees, to an ancient Cedar, a glossy Magnolia and an unusual ’weeping’ Acacia. Sadly we lost part of our statuesque Parasol Pine in the recent storms, with the only upside being a new stock of firewood for the winter.

Lush olive greens and delicate pale blossom soaking up the warm sunshine at Sainte Rose after what has been a rather wet Spring. All the vines are pushing on with good growth already on the baby Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir vines planted last month.

The first signs of spring are showing at Sainte Rose with gloriously bright yellow mimosa and delicate pink almond blossom, both of which are attracting out the bees to pollinate! We’ve had a lot of rain recently in the Languedoc, which is replenishing the water reserves ahead of the hot summer months. It also means the River Thongue is flowing, something Leo the labrador is very happy about!

Happy Wine Wednesday! As the evenings draw in, it is time to start enjoying our warm and generous red wines, made in the sunny south of France exclusively for our friends - a glass of each please!

That’s a wrap, our 23rd harvest at Sainte Rose is officially over, albeit the work carries on in the winery! We couldn’t do it without our brilliant work team or of course the home team - heartfelt thanks to all.
