Monicord concept www.closmonicord.com Clos Monicord is a concept winery with over 300 years of wine-making history. This is reflected in the Clos Monicord wines.

The vineyard of 16 hectares with 9.5 hectares of premium vines planted, is situated in a valley beside Fronsac, north-west of St Emilion. At Clos Monicord, we believe that to be able to enjoy a wine fully, it is important to please the eye, as well as the palate, and to take great care in every stage of the process; from before the first buds of spring to when the wine is ready to be bottled and p

assed on to the customer. From the distinct design of the hand-drawn series of six labels for each vintage, to the wine that has attained a character reflecting and rejoicing of its beautiful ‘terroir’. Gently hand harvested Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes, are cared for to provide a quality in wine that can surprise and best of all be enjoyed with family and friends.

Clos Monicord’s 2023 vintage, is presented with 6 inspiring labels entitled “It’s always sunny above the clouds”. The designs are taken from a series of original paintings with plant-based paints depicting skies, capturing an instant. Like a cloud that rises, moves and disappears. The shapes and colours in the original paintings appear, float around and drift away.

Le millésime 2023 de Clos Monicord est présenté en 6 étiquettes s’intitulant “Il fait toujours beau au dessus des nuages”. (Aucun rapport avec la chanson) Les visuels sont extraits d’une série de peintures originales et éphémères représentant des ciels à la peinture végétale permettant de saisir l’instantané. Tel un nuage qui surgît, se meut puis s’efface.
