The Sweet Rocket that I sowed in the summer has done brilliantly! I have been putting it in its permanent bad, ready for flowers in May next year. Biennials are really handy for filling that May gap between the tulips and the summer annuals.

We are adding lots of well rotted horse manure as we go, to try to boost our thin, sandy soil. It is great stuff so we have high hopes!

Join us on Friday 25th September for a Dried Flowers Workshop, where you can make a wreath, a hanging decoration or anything you can dream up!

That weekend of 26-27th September we will be having a dried flower sale, and possibly some vases and floristry kit, so come and see what you could find a home for. There will also be LOTS of dahlias for picking that weekend!

Join us tomorrow afternoon for an informal walk around the flower beds, and find out what we do and why we do it.

There is a LOT to see at this time of year as September is when the flowers really get a second wind, especially after a good dose of rain.

We start from our shop at 2pm, no need to book - see you tomorrow!

Diva season!

The dahlias have been ticking over all summer and now the weather has cooled off they are really hitting their stride!

We have all sorts of colours and shapes, and lots of other perennials and grasses etc to complement them, so if you are a dahlia fan, come and pick!

We are fully stocked and ready to welcome everyone for our Summer Fair this weekend!

I have resisted the Christmas decorations for now, but with a definite nip in the morning air, I have added some more autumnal items to our website. Our website has a wider selection than we can carry in the shop, so do check it out for gifts, vases, baskets, bird feeders and more.

We have added a carefully chosen selection of log baskets, and some fantastic ceramic pumpkins, which will look fantastic on your front porch, or as a table centrepiece.

Autumn is coming, and coming quickly this year, so let’s be ready to embrace it!

We have lots of excellent dried flowers this year, so come and have a go at making a wreath, hanging decoration or something of your own invention at one of our dried flower workshops.
