Fathers Day is just around the corner.. and as we expected, it's going to be a busy day based on bookings already.

We've had a look and managed to open up a small number of times we can accommodate some tables. Book now to avoid disappointing yer da.

We don't recommend showing up as a walk-in, as tables will only be realised if there is a no show of 15+ mins.

We've also decided as a team that we will not do takeaway on the 21st to limit the pressure on the kitchen and plan to introduce table service over the weekend to improve the experience of our diners.

HAVE YOUR SAY 👇🏻💬

We've been far busier than we ever expected since reopening at The Old Smiddy in Bridge of Don, and we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us. Your patience, kindness and enthusiasm over the past few months, whilst we navigated such big operational changes has meant the world to us!

We read every piece of feedback and genuinely use it to improve what we do. In fact, we've already made a number of changes since reopening, and we're constantly looking for ways to make the experience even better.

So, we'd love to hear from you! What would you like to see us improve? More outdoor seating? Alcohol licence? Full table service? Different opening hours?

Any dishes you'd love to see return, or new ones you'd like us to create? Maybe the return of our Texas BBQ platters for summer..? 👀

🚫🙅🏻‍♀️ Unfortunately, our pop-ups are coming to an abrupt end 😪🥹. They may return in some capacity in the future, but for now we need to get our heads around the minefield of rules and regulations that have recently come to our attention.

This does mean we now have some dates available in the diary, so if you're looking for private-hire BBQ catering around Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire with our food truck, we'd love to hear from you 🚚🔥.

A huge thank you to the teams at and for hosting our recent pop-ups. And congratulations to the lovely couple whose wedding we had the pleasure of catering today 🧡.
