Every week we have lots of scotch eggs delivered - they're wrapped in beautiful real wool insulation. It's fully decompostable and is just too good to throw away. So we wonder if anyone could make any use of it?
** Lovely to see that there's some demand for this product. Today's scotch eggs have arrived, so the woollen packaging is sitting next to the till, ready for someone to take it away! On a first come, first served basis **
Possible uses could be:
🐕 insulation of sheds, kennels or hutches
🌼 mulch for flower beds
🗑️ bulk for compost bins
🪡 arts and craft activities - for quilting maybe?
🪴 lining for hanging baskets or planters
🥩 packing of other cold products
plus anything else you can think of!
Please let us know if you'd like some.

Just in case you're not aware - this is how big TRUCK FESTIVAL is! And is the fundamental reason why the roads were so busy yesterday afternoon. Everyone's on site now, so the traffic is flowing very well, and we're looking forward to your visit this weekend. 🍓👋😎🍦🥩 Monday morning may be a different story!

It's that time of year again - TRUCK FESTIVAL this weekend! In recent years Truck organisers have got VERY good at getting all that extra traffic on site causing a minimum of inconvenience for us locals.
We know that the traffic will be heaviest on Thursday afternoon (about tea time - early evening), and Friday afternoon (about mid afternoon - early evening), and then prob at it's worst on Monday morning when everyone tries to leave the site. We have been in touch with Truck organisers pointing out the existing traffic issues in the area - and have been told that they are well aware, and hopefully have some plans to make sure that all runs smoothly.
Remarkably, during the weekend itself, traffic is generally lighter than usual as locals try to avoid the area, but there's actually no need. So please don't cancel a visit to us for a cheeky ice cream, as all will be well!

An unexpected result of the heat ....... Pipp & Co doughnuts are not quite as popular in these crazy temps, so we'll be taking a break this Thursday, 16th July. However you'll find them back on the shelf on Saturday 18th July.
