Quite the glow off this moon on the last morning of 2023, and what a year it has been!
We spent the early part of the year making our wonderful Seville Orange Marmalade, jar upon jar, basking in the glorious aroma until we’d mad what we hoped would be enough for the year (it was!). Then spent weeks in the kitchen, eyes watering with onion and vinegar smells, churning out all our delightful (but pungent) chutneys, hoping we’d have enough for the year (boy oh boy we didn’t factor in your fondness for pickles and preserves - didn’t even get through the summer…)
We’ve made thousands upon thousands of boxes of cheese Sablés, flapjacks and biscuits and been delighted that the fine folk of Aberdeenshire have eaten them ALL! (Pats on the back all round — thank you 😊)
We’ve also catered for weddings (including two on THOSE wet October weekends), birthdays, dinner parties, and had the busiest December ever (and cooking for a group over Hogmanay too, I almost forgot). So thank you for all your support, it’s hugely appreciated. We’re having a well-earned rest, and will be back making marmalade in a few days.
Happy new year to you all when it comes! 🥳
