First off, Iβd like to say please donβt believe everything you read on social media, as a lot of it is either exaggerated or completely untrue.
My son has struggled with his behaviour for a while now, and as a parent Iβve tried my best to support him while also teaching him responsibility for his actions. From time to time he has helped out voluntarily at the cafΓ© to work towards paying off debts caused by damage at home and other situations.
Recently, after being advised not to travel to Scotland due to concerns around the company he was keeping, he chose to go anyway and ended up getting himself into financial difficulty. When I refused to give him money to cover the overdraft, things escalated and unfortunately threats were made towards me and my business.
For clarity, he has not worked at the cafΓ© for two years as some posts suggest. We have only been open for one year, and he helped casually for a short period clearing tables for a couple of hours a week.
Iβm sorry for any confusion or drama caused online. At the end of the day he is still a young lad struggling to make good decisions, and I truly hope he finds the right path in life.
