Yesterday we had a lovely group of American guests out on the boat, interested in visiting the MacFarlane Clan castle ruins on Island I Vow at the northern end of Loch Lomond. After a visit to the ruins (and removing some of the litter left there) we began our cruise back down the loch and were lucky enough to catch a glimpse through the clouds of the partial eclipse over the Cobbler. All in all a very enjoyable and memorable evening!

In August Ginny and Dad will be walking 25 miles as part of the Great Wilderness Challenge in Poolewe, to raise money for the Highland Hospice. If anyone can find a few pounds to spare towards this great cause they would very much appreciate it!

It seems like summer is finally ready to return this week with temperatures set to soar to the dizzying heights of the high 20’s, which means that the best place to be is on the water. So whether it’s a private speedboat tour with a picnic on an island or a leisurely paddle along the shoreline, we can help you make the most of the good weather.

Please do book in advance, if you just turn up there’s a good chance I’ll be off checking cows at the other end of the farm. And don’t forget to bring your suncream!
