The weather ahead again looks a little mixed this week and I have been monitoring the lake temps and the last couple of days lakes 3 and 4 have increased significantly, so this week we shall close both for fishing. The other three lakes that have direct river feeds are several degrees lower so they will remain open, I do expect though by the end of the week to be able to reopen all five. We also would like to remind all fishermen returning fish to please allow a little longer time with the fish in the net for them to recover.
Diawl bachs have again attracted the most interest this week although a damsel nymph deep and slow has temped a few of the better fish that are holding the bottom. The evening rise is still the best time for top action and as the nights slowly start to draw in temps drop earlier and fish start hunting earlier as we begin to see daddy long legs in numbers around the lakes.
Don’t forget to check out the shop for some summer bargains, I have a few Floating lines available at a steal.
