Happy Sussex Day! Sussex is a county that looks forward as much as it does back; it sits on the edge of our island, but is still rich with heritage and contemporary culture.

Over the last decade or so, a new Sussex tradition has taken root and entered the national conversation: winemaking.

Across the county, producers are making exceptional sparkling wines that feature on some of the world's finest wine lists.

We're proud to call Sussex home and make Sussex Sparkling wines, just three miles from the county's most iconic landmark: the Seven Sisters cliffs.

With the weather looking great this weekend, why not join us on our new Twilight Tour this Saturday?

Experience the estate after hours in the beautiful evening light on this special Tour & Tasting, starting at 17:00pm. Discover how we make our award-winning Sussex Sparkling wines, and taste through a selection of our cuvées on the Tasting Room balcony.

Make an evening of it, and book in for dinner at the Flint Barns Dining Room afterwards. Book a table from 18:45pm when the tour ends.

WINELANDS is back in Lewes from 8th to 13th June 2026: a week of tastings, film screenings, supper clubs and masterclasses celebrating the world-class English wine on your doorstep.

Rathfinny Co-founder and CO-owner, Sarah Driver joins fellow Sussex growers from Henners and Tinwood for a conversation chaired by Plumpton College's Chris Foss.

If you've ever wondered what Sussex vineyards are doing to care for the environment and communities, come along and join the conversation.

We'll also be giving masterclass guests a chance to try our coveted Blanc de Noirs 2020, our signature sparkling wine.

This summer, the vineyard can be yours for the afternoon.

From Friday 5th June, the estate is open for vineyard picnics; a proper Sussex afternoon spent with friends and family. Pick up your picnic, choose a bottle of wine and find your spot near the vines.

The menu is freshly prepared and includes an estate-made sandwich, Rathfinny sausage roll, summer slaw, olives, loaded hummus, crisps and a Sussex strawberries potted cheesecake to finish.

All for £35 per person, with a children's menu also available and dogs welcome.

Picnics will run from Friday to Sunday throughout June, and from Wednesday to Sunday in July and August.

This National Wine Careers Week, we're raising a glass to all those who make it such a wonderful industry and shining a light on some current opportunities at Rathfinny.

Over the last few years, the domestic wine industry has grown to employ 3,300 people full-time and 13,000 seasonally, and is expected to grow by over 20% in the coming years. You, or someone you know, can become part of this at Rathfinny.

It’s International Dawn Chorus Day. Have you heard or seen anything particularly interesting recently?

As the mornings brighten, the Estate is alive with birdsong.

Recent bird sightings at Rathfinny include Song Thrush, Chaffinch, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Dunnock, Redwing, Ringed Plover, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Skylark, Green Woodpecker, Kestrel and Red Kite, to name a few!

A wonderful reminder of how rich and varied the landscape is.
