Rennington Scarecrow Festival is back this weekend! 🌾

We’ve been supporting the festival since it first began back in 1999, supplying the sausages for those all-important sausage sandwiches – and this year they’ve returned the favour by sending a new member of the team our way! 😂

Dressed for the job in his butcher’s apron, you’ll find him sitting proudly on our tractor outside the Food Hall, helping to spread the word.

If you’re out and about this weekend, make sure you call into Rennington, have a wander around the scarecrows and, of course, grab yourself a sausage sandwich while you’re there. 🌭

A final weekend for all things marmalade! 🍊🐻

Deborah’s got our Pork & Marmalade Sausages cooked, chopped and ready for sampling in the Food Hall this weekend – and she’s standing in front of quite a gallery of masterpieces!

Our August Sausage of the Month has gone down an absolute storm, but there are only a few days left to get your hands on them. If you haven’t tried them yet, pop in for a taste this weekend – they really are delicious.

And for our younger customers, it’s also the final weekend to get those colouring competition entries back to us. We’ve already got a fantastic collection on display, with some great prizes up for grabs.

So, two reasons to pop in this weekend:

TEAM PICK TUESDAY 🙌

This week's pick comes from Emma, and she's chosen one of our newest additions to the Butchery counter – Tandoori Chicken Stir Fry.

Strips of Chicken with Red, Green & Yellow Peppers and Onion, all coated in a delicious Tandoori marinade. And Emma has a great way of serving hers...

Hot Tandoori Chicken Wraps. 🌯

To cook, simply add a small splash of oil to a frying pan or wok, get it nice and hot and add your Stir Fry. Keep everything moving as it cooks – the Chicken is cut into thin strips, so it doesn't take long.

Once the Chicken is thoroughly cooked and the Peppers and Onion have softened but still have a little bite, you're ready to go. Warm up a few wraps, pile in the hot Tandoori Chicken Stir Fry and you've got a cracking quick and easy tea.

You could even add a spoonful of Yoghurt or Raita, a little Salad and a squeeze of Lime if you fancy.

Quick. Easy. And very tasty.
