General Farm Worker – Due to Expansion

We’re looking for a full-time General Farm Worker to join our friendly team at Heckley High House Farm, starting March.
📍 Location: 2 miles north of Alnwick
🌾 About Us
We are a family-run farm with a small, close-knit team and a flexible, supportive working environment.
Our farm includes:
• 350 suckler cows
• Arable ground producing seed crops sold as Heckley Seeds
We also have several diversifications:
🏡 Holiday lets | ⛺ Campsite | 🐎 Livery yard | 🍮 Pudding kitchen (Proof of the Pudding)
We operate modern machinery and cattle-handling facilities and are actively embracing new technology.
🔧 The Role
Winter duties include:
• Feeding and bedding cattle
• Assisting with calving (experience dependent)
• Daily livestock checks
• General farm maintenance
Summer duties include:
• Relief baler driving
• Topping and spot spraying
• Hauling grain and bales
• Loading lorries
• Fence building and repairs
• Machinery maintenance
• Concreting and grass mowing
🎓 Training & Development
Full training will be provided for all tasks. We encourage a supportive working environment—if you are unsure about anything, we would always rather you ask.
We’re happy to support professional development, including:
• Course fees
• PPE
• Time to complete qualifications
✅ Requirements
• Previous agricultural experience required
• Full driving licence essential
• Telescopic Handler & PA1 / PA2 / PA6 tickets an advantage (can be provided)
• HGV class 2 an advantage
💰 Competitive wage (dependent on experience)
