Yesterday a couple popped into the shop for the first time. When they left, the lady said, “I wouldn’t shop in here, it’s so dated.”
Before Richard could reply, one of our wonderful regulars walked in and said, “I wouldn’t judge a book by its cover — Richard sells the best meat and the quality is excellent.”

Those words meant the world to Richard. Truly.

As many of you know, we took over the butcher’s to keep a proper butcher on Alton High Street — to keep tradition alive, to keep local produce thriving, and to keep that personal service you don’t get in supermarkets.
We’re slowly making changes, and improvements to the interior are coming very soon.

Thank you to every single customer who chooses to shop local and support us. We couldn’t stay on the High Street without you.
