What a fabulous day and a fabulous view form The Hen Hurler today. Not sure how much the hens appreciate it but we do! Take a trip out to collect some eggs and take a few moments to enjoy the view and if you peep over the fence you are more than likely to see the hens foraging around in the field, lazing in the sun or taking shade under the hurler.

If you are out for eggs today please help yourself to a small posy of sweet peas and cornflowers which are in a vase to the side of the egg barrel - a little thank you to our loyal customers!
Each bunch is tied with an elastic band and please only take 1 per customer. Only a few bunches and when they are gone they are gone!

The Hurling Hens weren’t very sure what to make of the concoction I gave them on Sunday - Greek yoghurt with crushed garlic and chilli powder- apparently this is the equivalent to a probiotic for hens! However, when I went back an hour later the bowl was pecked dry!
