We are Hiring a Poultry Stockperson 🐔🥚🌿
📍Carmyllie, Arbroath.

Summerhill Eggs is looking for a reliable and hardworking Poultry Farm Worker to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in high standards, and is committed to animal welfare.🐓

Part time position of 25-30hours per week. Flexibility on days is required and may include some weekend work. May lead to a full time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Egg collection
- Monitoring poultry shed environments
- Cleaning and maintaining poultry sheds and equipment
- Monitoring bird health and welfare
- Following strict biosecurity and animal welfare standards
- Recording and reporting data accurately.

Own transport is essential due to our rural location.

🌻 2025 Cononsyth Farms Sunflower Maze Update 🌻

This year has been a challenging one for our sunflower maze. Between the unexpected weather swings and a few storms, the sunflowers haven’t grown quite as tall or as full as they usually do. Nature had other plans!

That said, while the maze looks a little different this season, we’re still planning to open this Saturday 13th September 2025 for the day, and we’d love to know—would you still like to visit the farm, wander the paths, take in the tranquil countryside views, plenty of photo-worthy spots and enjoy the sunflowers that are here? 🌞💛

Your support would mean the world to us. We hope that you’ll come and enjoy the fresh air and help us make the most of what the season has given us.

Job Opportunity: Flexible Grounds Maintenance / Handyman Work – Ideal for a fit Retired Person

Are you retired or semi-retired and looking to keep busy with some light, flexible work? We’re looking for a reliable, practical individual to help with grounds maintenance primarily, occasional painting jobs, and general handyman tasks.

✅ The Role:

Ad-hoc work as needed (no regular schedule – just when it suits you)

General garden / grounds maintenance (large areas of grass cutting, pruning hedges, tidying, etc.)

Light painting

Basic home repairs and odd jobs

Ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and working outdoors or with their hands.

All tools and machinery supplied.

🕒 Hours: Very flexible – work when it suits you. Looking for approx 8-10hrs per week, more available if you'd like.

💰 Pay: Hourly rate to be discussed.
