It’s all about the berries this weekend - we’re lucky enough to be neighbours with Balhungie Berry Farm so we’ve given our award winning Rosewater and raspberry a wee bling up into a brownie cup - lush brownie hides a whole raspberry and fresh raspberry goo (that’s a technical term you know 🤣) centre, topped with fresh raspberry Creme Au Buerre and freeze dried raspberries - we’ll have limited numbers of these at Fallone's Pizzas & Gelato pop up tonight from 4pm - perfect with raspberry sorbet 😉🤫 then of course there will be more at Montrose Producers of Angus Markets tomorrow!

⭐️Meet this year’s Chieftain⭐️

Let us to introduce our Chieftain for the 2026 Strathmore Highland Games…Mr Magnus Moncrieff!

Magnus is the Angus Council Active Schools Coordinator for the Kirriemuir Cluster. 12 years ago we sat down with Magnus and the development of our School’s Highland Games Programme began. He acts acts as the bridge which has allowed us to connect with around 1000 local primary school children every year.

His work ethic is exceptional, he’s driven to improve and perfect every event that he organises. Originally from Orkney, he calls Kirriemuir his home now with his lovely wife Claire, and his two girls. He is one of the lead organisers of Forfar Loch parkrun, and is a big fan of Forfar Athletic Football Club .

We’re delighted he’s accepted the Chieftain role, especially as we’re set to host our 10th Rural Schools Highland Games event next week. We know he’ll step into the role of Chieftain for this year’s Games on Sunday 14th June at perfectly!
