Good news to the local community. We know how difficult it can be to access the bank. The post office has reinstated its Bank of Scotland cheques service as of today September 1st. Crofters and farmers especially happy, as it’s just in time for the calf and lamb sales 😉

Our local community have been so supportive of our quest to get a generator for the shop and offices.
Ewen Robertson has kindly donated some of his prints to help raise funds. We have them on display in the foyer, so please have a look
So far the community has helped raise £2015.39, which is a fantastic amount.
Keep an eye out for an update coming soon on the funding applications that we have submitted

We have quite a variety of herbs and spices you can buy in our refill section. Some for everyday uses and others for special occasions. When you are just buying the product and not with the jars, they come out at very good value for money. And you can buy what you need.
You can even fill this salt mill for only 25p.
As always, we are happy to help if you haven’t shopped this way before.

We have been providing blister pack recycling for over a year and are now on our 8th box. Each box has weighed on average 7.2kg. That’s around 50kg of pack that have not made it into landfill. The community really got behind this and has now became a regular service. It’s not cheap at £112 a box, but we feel it’s worth it and happy to pay this. Just this week, we have been granted £500 from the Sleat Hydro fund to help pay for the next 4 boxes. This is really going to help us going forward
