This company “Moore’s” was established in 1932 by the Moore family of Aghagallon and traded in the Pork business, both raw and cooked. In 1998 due to the competitive market in the Pork trade the company ceased production of raw products and started concentrating on all cooked Pork products only. Hams, Gammons, Sausages etc to the wholesale market and Sandwich manufacturing companies. In 2007 Eric Moore who was the owner decided to Retire and sold the business to a very well known and respected Local Butcher, Mr Kieran Maguire of Lurgan. Mr Kieran Maguire has been in the Pork Business for the past 30 years and has brought a lot of experience and extra knowledge to an already thriving Ham Manufacturing business. The company functions by a strict HACCP system of health and safety, under the scrutiny of local Environmental Health Officer of Craigavon. The Microbiological testing of all products manufactured by the company are carried out by Moy Park Laboratories of Portadown, Microbiological sampling is also carried out by Craigavon Public Health Laboratories on a spot check basis for bacteriological examination. Today the Company continues to grow and serve all over Northern Ireland in the Pork industry.
