BEARDspoon Real Kentish Cider BEARDspoon Cider is a multi-award winning small Artisan Real Cider maker based in Sellindge, Kent.

BEARDspoon Real Kentish Cider, a small award winning Artisan Real Cider maker based in Ashford, Kent. We produce our Cider not for profit but for the enjoyment of others and to spread the word about Real Cider and its Apple'y Goodness! Real Cider is nothing like the chemical rich 'glucose wines' sold in major supermarkets and pubs, real cider uses 100% apple juice fermented naturally (usually by the apple's own wild yeasts) with no added chemicals. Our Cider is hand pressed using traditional Kentish grown eating and cooking apples including Bramley, Grenadier, Howgate Wonder, Discovery and Russet. The majority of which are handpicked by ourselves from little used organically grown standard-size trees, allowing us to use only the very best fruit. The entire process is done by our own fair hands, from picking to pressing and then as the juice ferments through the winter months racking, blending and Bottling!

We supply our Real Cider to pubs, Beer & Cider Festivals and local produce shops in various size Bag in Boxes and 500ml bottles. Unfortunately we only supply wholesale and not to the general public.

Returning for our second go at educating and entertaining the c***r folk of old London Town with our Full Juice Kentish Real C***rs, we are very excited to say tickets are now on sale and everyone is welcome!
David Comley C***rmaker at Epiphany C***r will also be joining us to show us how he makes his award-winning small scale somerset c***r.

Organised by the fantastic Alison Taffs of Hop Inn, Hornchurch it's set to be a relaxed and interesting evening covering our core range of c***rs and a few specials thrown in.

Today is another milestone in BEARDspoons history, it was exactly 15 years ago today we pressed our first Bramley apples in a small test press on our first tiny screw press!

In a full circle moment we have also been lone-pressing Bramleys today. With above average sugars and juice levels it looks like our 15th season of Bramleys will be a great one.

Many thanks to all our c***ry (and none-c***ry) friends for their ongoing support, time, muscle power, and patience with this overgrown hobby.

It's been a pleasure to be involved in the promotion of Real C***r & the amazing community of real c***r heads across the UK for the last 15 years.

Whatever happens in the future, thank you all.

We've been playing with some cheeky special blends as the 2025 c***r stock starts to diminish!

So far we've created 2 super exclusive blends, limited to just 60l each.

DISCO CRAB
Dry
5.5%
A blend of 2/3rds Discovery Apples to 1/3rd Crab Apples.
A deep & rich dry c***r while also tart and floral!

MARSH MIST
Medium / Sweet
5%
A blend of 2025 Russet and freshly pressed 2026 Discovery juice with a hint of 2025 Bramley thrown in.
A naturally sweet, super juicy, cloudy c***r with russet’yness!

Both these C***rs will be available at the The Hop Inn Hornchurch later in the year during our ‘Meet the Maker’ event (info soon) after first showcasing at the London C***r Club in October.

If you can't wait until then our most flavourist local The B**r Shop Folkestone will also have both available in the coming weeks, with Disco Crab currently going down very well.

That’s a wrap for the Discovery Apples this year, and may be for the future, on this scale at least.

Juice levels weren’t too much lower than normal but sugars up as expected at 1050og.

All the spent pomace has now been delivered to the local farm, to the delight of the cows!

Keep your eyes peeled for a fresh disco juice c***r blend coming to our favourite c***ry establishments very soon!
