Today we’re raising a glass to Father’s Day 🥂

Biddenden has been family owned and managed since 1969 and today the vineyard is run by the second and third generations of the Barnes family with Julian and Tom continuing to also work closely with Sam and Will (SJ Barnes Ltd) to build on the next 50 years of Biddenden Vineyards.

As Julian says, “every father should remember that one day his sons will follow his example - not his advice!”

That’s what we call a team! 💪

The Angel Tractor was undoubtedly one of the most remarkably decorated tractors in our run on Sunday, with it’s halo and wings, carrying a star.

It belongs to S J Barnes Limited, but Sam allowed the team at N P Seymour to “make it really girly!” Driven by tractor fairies Claire, with passenger Fifi, it has been the most commented on, and has even made Farmers Weekly social media. It was the The Star and Eagle’s best dressed tractor, and we have never seen anything like it at any other tractor run! 🚜🎄👼

We have been to the bank with most of the buckets today - it took five of us to carry it all! Thank you everyone!! More next week after we have collected buckets from the pubs and cafes! 😎

2023 season finished as it started for Sam & Will who were contracted to go down under and plant Tasmania’s first GPS planted vineyard in November! Just a sneak peak at what is an incredible project! The first 20HA in. This was an amazing experience and privilege to be asked to go to the other side of the world to do what we do! 👌🚜💨🍇🤙

As the UK 🇬🇧 distributor for trellising materials and being based in the garden of England where plenty of apples 🍎 🍏 are grown. It would be rude not to share these 5 meter orchard posts! As a great alternative to wooden posts, these can be made to a customers exact specification, be it Length, Steel thickness, steel finish, and custom hook plans which are integral to the post.
