Norfolk Show 2026 was certainly our hottest show yet! Lots of fans water and sloppy mash at the ready for the sheep!
The mixed down breed classes are always a bit hit and miss and this year some of the classes were huge (28 catalogued to be in the ewe lamb class!). We were very happy to come away with:
3rd Shearling Ram
6th Ram Lamb
6th Ewe Lamb

Showing done for the Blake flock now, time to start thinking about breeding season! 🙌🏻🐑

Three Counties 2026! Only our second visit to the Oxford Down National Show and taking a group of our own homebred sheep. We were unsure how we would do against some great breeders and sheep. But so chuffed to have come away with 6 placings!
Shearling Ewe - 3rd & 6th
Shearling Ram - 4th & 5th
Group of 3 - 4th
Pairs - 2nd
Also a massive congratulations to our friends at Caston Oxford Downs for winning Female Champion and then on to Reserve Breed Champion.
Well done to the Montrose Flock for winning Male and Breed Champion with their Shearling Ram.
We had a lovely time away at the show catching up with lots of other Oxford breeders 🙌🏻
Next stop the Norfolk show for the mixed down classes.

Rutland Show 2026

Safe to say our best yet! Out of the placings a couple of classes but two pulled it out the bag for us in some big classes with lots of strong sheep put forward.

🥉3rd Ram Lamb
🥇1st Shearling Ewe

🥇Breed Champion Shearling Ewe.

Our first red rosette and to then go on and win the breed championship with one of our homebred shearlings was very special!

Alf also had the best ice cream fuelled day, thanks to Nana, Pops, Uncle Matt and Auntie Stacey!
