Eyes to the skies tonight - the Harvest Moon is rising 🌕

Before artificial lighting, the Harvest Moon extended the working day and helped farmers gather crops into the evening. Centuries later, our English grape harvest is underway and a new vintage beginning.

Here in Devon, it will appear at around 6.41pm – 22 minutes before sunset. Look out for Saturn shining close beside it as the sky darkens.

The Harvest Moon is the closest full moon to the autumn equinox and we’ll see several evenings when bright moonlight follows closely behind the setting sun.

We’re incredibly proud of our Head W**emaker, Clem Yates MW, who is one of just 420 Masters of W**e in the world - and among the very few who actively make w**e.

From her first harvest in Australia to leading our w**ery here in Devon, Clem’s career has taken her across Australia, France, California and England. Today, she heads our talented team, creating award-winning English w**es from grapes grown by our network of growers.
