I have just read the latest book from Dan Freeman published by Puffin on 8th June this year. Wow! It is brilliant. Called I am Lenny Brown it is the story of a very 'special' boy who has to move schools which although frightening for many children is terrifying for Lenny. There is a very clever device used to help the reader to see how Lenny is feeling at each stage. It's a heartwarming story covering a situation that many children face.

It not only shows children like Lenny that they can cope in this situation but also shows the confident children who find life easy just how their actions can affect that quiet child in the corner who doesn't seem to fit in.

This book is a must have for every library.

Don't take my word for it - go and get a copy and read it for yourself and with your child/children. You will see that I am right.
