Coco & Leila had a super first holiday with us. They are such lovely gentle cats. They loved cosying up in their heated bedroom but as soon as the sun was shining were out watching the world go by. Perfect residents!

Our cattery closed at the end of September so Auntie Jo & Uncle James could have a lovely holiday in Kos! We arrived home at 3 am and had 10 cats arriving between 09:00 and 10:00!

So its back to business! And busyness!

Here are the first few visitors who have been (and gone - because I don't share cats who are currently staying!) in our first week since home.

HOME FOUND!! This is a heartfelt plea from one of our customers. If anyone has space in their home and heart for Trixie, please let me know and I will put you in contact.

"This is Trixie, my lockdown baby. She's about 7/8years and I rescued her when she was just under 2 years old, she'd been on the streets since birth and had, had multiple litters; when it was time for adoption everyone wanted the kittens but no one wanted Mum. But I did. At first she was terrified, wouldn't eat, sleep or use her litter tray when we were around and certainly did not want to share any space with me. She did slowly start to trust me and it was so humbling that she gave me a chance. Trixie is incapable of being quiet and is very chatty, from the moment she sees you she's wishing you a good morning or a welcome home whilst demanding attention and food like she's never had a meal in her life. She'll happily snuggle up to you on the sofa or in bed but will soon tell you when she's had enough! She's an indoor cat as I felt she was just too nervous to go out and she loves staring out the window. She has been my constant companion for 6 years and I love her dearly.

However, a change of circumstance means I can't keep my promise of a forever home and I need to make a decision based on her happiness, safety and well-being no matter how it breaks my heart. Due to a breakdown in my marriage I've had to move back in with my parents who have 2x dogs (1x elderly, 1x young) and 2x outdoor cats, so as to not overwhelm her I asked someone I could trust who also had house cats to care for her whilst I tried to get my life back on track. This hasn't worked, the cats cannot stand each other and are at serious risk of really hurting one another so are now segregated with Trixie in a room on her own and I just can't do that to her anymore, she deserves so much better as she is such a sweet little lunatic.

I'm looking for someone to take Trixie in where she can be the only cat so that she gets all the love and attention she needs, someone with the patience to build the trust up and reap the rewards of her yowling at 2am serenading the moon high off catnip or dribbling all over you when your snuggled up on the sofa.

In the beginning it was just a temporary fix
but with the divorce ongoing, it could be months or a year as until certain issues are sorted I'm not in a position to find another place to live. I also can not risk the health of my parents 15 year old Labrador who will not understand that this fur baby does not want to spoon or a well intended bath. She deserves stability and being put into foster, taken out to be put with 2x dogs and 2x cats to then have to be rehomed if she can’t settle just isn’t fair on her.

She's had both vaccines, would come with her litter tray, some well loved toys and a cat tree if you have space.
If there’s someone who can foster her for 6 months plus, perfect, or if there’s someone who could giver her a forever home, good. Please let me know."

Alfie & Freddie have been holidaying with us since they were kittens and they are just so relaxed here.

It really is the best thing, watching them grow up, and sharing life & space with them and their owners/staff.

We are grateful that you trust us with your fur babies, and these boys are such a treat!

16.5 year old Tally. She still keeps herself groomed and loves fuss and food. She had a lovely holiday with us with lots of fuss 💓

Today, precious Gucci Bear took his last breath, peacefully with his devoted mum and dad by his side. 💔

Gucci was one of our very first cattery guests, coming to stay with us for the first time in September 2017. Over the past nine years, he enjoyed an incredible 44 holidays with us — first with his sister Gigi, and later with his new sisters, Milly & Molly.

Gucci was such a special boy to us. We loved him like one of our own, and it was always a joy to have him here at Abbotts View. His most recent stay was only last week, but by then he had become tired and frail.

He truly was a little miracle of nature, overcoming so many health obstacles throughout his life. Above all, he was deeply loved by his mum and dad, and that love was so very clear.

We will never forget our beautiful Gucci Bear — the gentlest of puss cats, with the softest purr, who absolutely adored a brush… but only if it was Auntie Jo doing the brushing! 🥹❤️

Sleep peacefully, beautiful boy. Thank you for all those years of cuddles, purrs and precious memories. You will always have a special place in our hearts. 🌈🐾
