A Personal Post From The Homestead Family ❤️
It's been a tough month for us here at Homestead Smokehouse.
Just one month ago we had to say goodbye to our dog, Tundra. Today, we've had to make a heartbreaking goodbye to Kjara too.
For many people they were "just dogs", but for us they were family. They were part of our daily lives, there through the good times, the difficult times, and everything in between. They were always there to greet us when we got home, demand attention when we were busy, and somehow make a house feel like home.
Losing one was hard enough. Losing both of them within a month has been devastating.
We know many of our customers are animal lovers themselves, so we wanted to share why things may have felt a little quieter behind the scenes recently. Running a business means the doors still open, the smokers still fire up, and service still goes on, but behind the scenes we've been navigating a lot of heartbreak.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Homestead Smokehouse over the past few weeks. Your kind words, visits, and support mean more than you realise.
Tonight we're raising a glass to two very good dogs.
Sleep well, Tundra and Kjara. ❤️🐾
