Only a few tickets left for our Botanical RISO workshop🌸🌿
We’ll start with Matisse‑inspired floral cut‑outs or scanned pressed flowers for our first colour layer, then move into drawing from life using the flower arrangements for layer two.

Pick your colours, run your layers through the riso, and leave with a set of vibrant eco‑ink prints you made start to finish 🌸🖨️🫟

Pattern Drenched & ready to celebrate! 🎉✨
For the entire month of June, the incredible Ayr-based textile designer Aimee Kent has been turning up the creativity at MAKE. Alongside an amazing community crew, she’s been exploring hand-dyeing, eco-printing with food waste, and bold print techniques.
Now we’re excited to invite you to her opening exhibition: an immersive, patterned interior that transforms the entire studio! 🛋️🎨
Join us for the Blank Canvas: Pattern Drenched Exhibition Opening 🌀A live, interactive celebration of sustainable design and circular making.
Here’s what’s happening:
🧵 Live Styling & Sewing: Watch an on-site seamstress turn experimental workshop fabrics into gorgeous frilled cushions right before your eyes!
🖼️ Residency Showcase: See Aimee’s own incredible work, including stunning wallpapers, printed textiles, and repurposed interior pieces.
🥐 Residency-Inspired Bites: Enjoy a curated food element inspired by the textures and colours of the project.
🎨 Open Print Station: Roll up your sleeves! Grab some stamps, blocks, and fabric paint to create your own take-home piece.
💬 Design Chat: Stick around for a chat on sustainable design, creative reuse, and the magic of community making.

Final of Aimee Kent’s free workshop series as part of her Blank Canvas month long artists residency in Make.

Today we block printed our original drawings onto the fabric that we naturally dyed last week with food waste.

Wanting to try a new hobby? 🥣✨
Join us at Narture Studios for a 3-Week Bowl Making & Glazing Workshop where you’ll learn to create your own ceramic pieces completely from scratch. 🌀
Over three Monday evening sessions, we’ll take you through the whole process—from learning how to slip cast and press mould with clay, to designing, decorating, and glazing your very own set of handmade bowls.
Whether you’re a total beginner or have dabbled with clay before, this hands-on workshop is the perfect way to learn a new skill and unwind.

We’re so excited to announce our first RISO workshop at our new space CREATE, Botanical RISO Printing! 🌸✨
Join us for a hands-on session where we’ll turn plant cut-out silhouettes and life drawings into stunning two-layer Riso art. You’ll create the designs, choose your vibrant ink combinations, and watch your final layered prints come together!
