Farming a traditional way with a modern outlook! David and Elizabeth are first generation farmers, renting a council tenant farm on the North Norfolk cost since 2012. Before that renting pocket of land from several landlords within 10 miles of their home.

When Golden Delicious decided a "prickly bed" is the ultimate maternity luxury... 🤦‍♀️🐷

​She worked so hard dragging a massive mountain of thistles into her farrowing arc! It looked impressive, but overlaying (sows accidentally squishing their newborn piglets) is already one of the biggest risks during farrowing. Add a prickly mattress of sharp stems into the mix, and it’s a recipe for chaos—piglets get trapped, can't move out of the way quickly, and avoid snuggling in!
​So out came the pitchfork, out went the thistle mountain, and in went a fresh, clean bed of soft straw. She might not appreciate my interior decorating skills just yet, but her future piglets certainly will! 🌾✨

20 years down, forever to go! 🍾

​Not many people can say they arrived at their wedding on a tractor trailer, walked out under an archway of pitchforks, or rocked blue wellies under their wedding dress! 💙🌾

​That’s where the story of Blue Welly Farm truly began. Happy 20th Anniversary to us—here’s to 20 more years of love, laughter, and farm life adventures! 🎉❤️
