Established by the late Duchess of Devonshire in 1977, the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop sold beef, and lamb from the estate farms and venison from the park. Its aim was to sell Chatsworth's produce direct to the people who wanted to eat top quality, locally grown food. Since then the estate farm shop has developed and diversified, growing from strength to strength to become an acknowledged leader i

n its field. We are dedicated to protecting and nurturing the family run working farm heritage and so the philosophy remains today. We aim to source primarily from the estate, secondly from tenant farms, thirdly from local food producers of Derbyshire and then from other quality suppliers within the UK wherever possible. Over 60% of products are produced or prepared on the Chatsworth Estate. We pride ourselves on the highest level of customer service, staff knowledge and innovation, and invite you to come and discover the very best in own and local produce.

Our Estate reared venison has just arrived at the counter, and we've expanded our selection with delicious new cuts like chops, racks, shoulder joints, neck, and even kebabs.

Our own Wildlife Manager, Jamie, oversees the entire process. He shared some fascinating facts about the four deer species that call Chatsworth home. Red and Fallow roam the park, while Roe and Muntjac are also present on the wider estate. We carefully manage our deer population to ensure a healthy herd and protect our growing trees and crops.

Every step, from ethical culling to processing and butchering is handled right here on the Estate by our expert team, guaranteeing the highest quality and freshest venison. 🦌

Supporting local businesses is at the heart of what we do here at the Farm Shop, and so we are delighted to be expanding our selection of locally grown vegetables.

Lovingly grown by Rob in Wirksworth, many of these vegetables were still in the ground less than 24 hours ago. Freshly picked, packed with flavour and grown just a few miles away – it doesn’t get much better than that 🍅
