Of course there's a lot of walks around us in beautiful Royal Deeside, but did you know that the path that runs right by our front door is the former Deeside railway line. The Deeside Railway opened in 1853 to Banchory, extended to Aboyne in 1859 with an extension to Ballater in 1866. Sadly closed in 1966, the Deeside Way is now a multi use path and runs all the way to Aberdeen and is a fantastic way to explore Deeside with your preferred mode of transport.

The waymarking has just been refreshed and is looking splendid in this week's sunshine. Why not have a look and pop in for refreshments? https://www.deesideway.org/
