Important Announcement.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Banbury restaurant.

Last orders will be taken on Sunday, 9.30 PM February 2nd.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all of our loyal customers who have supported us over the years. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served you delicious food and created memorable dining experiences.

We've truly enjoyed our time in Banbury. We hope you’ve enjoyed us too.

We understand that this news may come as a surprise, and we sincerely apologise for not being able to announce this sooner.

The restaurant will be closing and will be taken over by a new owner with a new name. They will be undergoing a refit before reopening.

We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

Thank you again for your understanding and continued support.

From Ancient Texts to Modern Tables

The humble pakora, a crispy, deep-fried fritter, is a staple snack across the Indian subcontinent.

Onion pakora and palak pakora (spinach pakora) are just two popular variations, showcasing the versatility of this dish.

Believed to have originated in the Punjab region of India, pakoras boast a history spanning centuries.

Evidence of their existence can be found in ancient Sanskrit and Tamil texts, while medieval cookbooks like the Lokopakara (1025 CE) and the Manasollasa (1130 CE) provide detailed recipes, including one for fish-shaped pakoras.
