WHAT A HAUL!! 😮‍💨

♻️ Working with on their recycling to help reduce the waste at Picnic In The Park this afternoon.

One full boot of cans that we can guarantee will be recycled and not end up in landfill. 💪🏻

💚 A huge thank you to everyone who collected and crushed cans, from Festival Volunteers to some very young members of the audience who were the most brilliant helpers!! 🤩

💚 WOW! What an exit that has been!!! 💚

The biggest of ‘thank yous’ to all you amazing customers who have gone above and beyond to make the end of this chapter on High Street the biggest send off ever! The love and support has been incredibly strong and deeply appreciated. It has encouraged and inspired me to keep going along the zero waste journey and I sincerely hope and trust our paths and friendships will cross again in the future 💚.

From a personal perspective I am a richer person for all the connections made and conversations had. It has been an emotional road on all levels, but one that has reached a junction with such joy in all that has been achieved.

Time for a break and reset before heading off on the next chapter to see what more can be done to spread the zero waste message!

I just want to give a huge shout out to for all the incredible bakes they have supplied over the years you have absolutely loved 🤎

If you are able, you can continue to enjoy the best Real Bread around (made with pure, honest ingredients) at their bakery in Balloo (open 8-2 every day except Sundays and Tuesdays). They are an amazing team and so richly deserve their reputation and success!

🌿 HELLO MAY & AU REVOIR FROM THE PEPPERY CAT 🌿

After much consideration, the decision has been made to close the doors of our High Street shop later this month.

The steady growth of the business has brought us to capacity in both space and location and, as a one-woman operation, it’s time to take a step back. This pause will allow time to reflect on how the zero waste message can continue to serve Bangor in the best possible way, and to explore what might come next.

It has been the most incredible journey over the past three plus years — a steep learning curve, and an absolute joy to serve so many of you as you have embraced your own zero waste journeys. It has been a privilege to build relationships with such a committed community and, together, we have saved tens of thousands of pieces of plastic packaging from landfill or incineration. Even more than that, we have grown in our green living by sharing, learning and encouraging one another.

Supporting local has always been central to The Peppery Cat, and a heartfelt thank you also goes to the incredible local suppliers we have had the pleasure and privilege of working with. The standard of local produce is exceptional — from creativity and quality to sheer dedication and hard work.

It will help us better understand how you like to shop, what you need, and where The Peppery Cat could go next.
