Do you know the difference between your dipa’s and your guezes? then it’s time to come out from under that magic rock and rise above the Cloudwater to find your true vocation. Here at Maison Du Biere, we live craft and world beer, we do not sell beer, we enthuse it, just look at what people say about us on social media!!
We are a bottle shop and craft bar and retailer of all that is good in the world of beer, and we are looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic person to join our small but beer crazy team. This amazing person will head up our shop and tap in Elsecar.
We need a person who can, on one hand get to know what our loyal band of home sommeliers want to taste next, someone who can inform them of the new styles, flavours and tastes that we have on the shelves and on the other hand advise on the best beers to put together for any special occasion based on drinking tastes and favourite styles, but also someone who can natter away about what's happening in the ever evolving craft beer world and work with our group buyer to ensure that we stay a leading force in the craft and world beer world
We also need someone who is a whizz at keeping up with an ever-rolling throughput of bottles, cans and kegs, making sure everything is there ready on the shelves and in the tap, A person who is good with the practical paperwork, ensuring our support team knows what is needed to develop the outlet. You will obviously have the organisational and computer skills that are necessary in the retail and pint pulling world.
To the right People these positions can become a developing, fulfilling, very rewarding enjoyable full-time role.
Ideally but essentially you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a management role in a taproom or bar, Passion, enthusiasm and knowledge of all things food and drink related, Impeccable customer service skills and experience, Flexible, positive and outgoing personality, Strong cellar management skills:, excellent communication skills, Experience and confidence in working across multiple tasks and projects and ability to see things through from conception to completion, Experience of building and leading teams, Ability to work well independently but also as part of a larger team, remember you need the ability to work a flexible schedule which means lots of weekends and all bank holidays
