Just a reminder that we’re open Friday and Saturday this week down at Wickes 🥔
This will be the last weekend at Wickes for a while whilst we trial operating from the town centre full-time.
And before we get loads of comments and messages saying some of you prefer Wickes… yes, we know guys, and honestly, we wish we could continue with two locations and keep everyone happy. But realistically, in the current climate, we simply can’t continue paying two lots of rent. It’s absolutely crippling our business, alongside the ever-increasing costs on everything from stock to gas/fuel to vat and tax!
We need to trial which location works best for us as a business and go from there. Yes, whichever spot we eventually say goodbye to, we’ll be sad to leave. But not as sad as saying goodbye to The Tatie Van altogether – because that’s the reality if we don’t make this change 🥹
Some may think we’re sharing too much, but we’ve always prided ourselves on being open and honest with our customers. This is the situation many hospitality businesses are finding themselves in right now, sadly.
The Tatie Van has been part of Barnsley’s history for over 40 years, and we’re determined to keep that legacy going for many more ❤️
