An absolute dream of a Monday. There is something incredibly grounding about a place that forces you to disconnect simply because the signal can’t find you.

really is the poster child for that kind of “English agriturismo” magic—between Hugo’s hyper-local cooking, Olive’s art, and their commitment to the land, they’ve built a spectacular little sanctuary down in the Coly Valley.

It made total sense that Seth from chose Glebe house as a backdrop for filming a Ridan. Watching one of those big, Devon-made thermal composters in action at a Michelin Green Star site is about as circular-economy as it gets. There is something deeply satisfying about watching food waste turn into rich soil right where it was grown.

Can’t wait to see those action shots when they drop.

Just a little round up of our recent deliveries.

Customers have taken us to mid southern Wales, the south coast in the New Forest and right over to the east in Colchester.

As always, it’s the customers that make it interesting.

Lucie and her family from combining food redistribution, composting and fish farming to close the loop. I say fish farming, I have never seen so many axolotl’s.

First Stop Centre in Braintree, another food redistribution hub that offer educational classes to get people back on their feet. Incidentally bee keeping and now composting too!!

As always a privilege.

The glamorous side of our Velvet Magazine sustainability award! I’m filthy dirty, but had a love morning with the Ridan Composting making sure they’re ticking along nicely.

Appreciate our method is a little unconventional but we’re having lots of success composting our packaging on site along with our food waste.

Farms for City Children have shared an impressive report covering the impact of the £20,000 grant we donated last year. The funding, thanks to players of The Health Lottery contributed to 3396 children from schools and 157 CYP from youth and community groups, taking part in a farm residential in 2025.

A young person who visited a farm said, “I feel like the wind is saying hello and my eyes feel fresh and as if they’re seeing stuff for the first time.”

All evidence suggests that children in primary schools are now starting their school years with delayed development, poor language skills, reduced attention, lower self-regulation and limited experience of sustained play. The impact of the farm residential experience on individual children who lack confidence and communication skills can be life changing.

We’re thrilled to have been able to support and visit Farms for City Children in 2025. We look forward to hearing more from the charity in 2026, their 50th anniversary year.
