Performance Days Munich is here this week and it’s fantastic to see wool taking centre stage.

With support from The Woolmark Company and IWTO, wool is being recognised as the original performance fibre, proven overtime in the world’s most extreme environments, from polar expeditions to the first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953.

Today, leading brands and innovators continue to rely on wool for its breathability, odour resistance, moisture management, durability, and natural sustainability. From next-to-skin comfort to high-performance outerwear, the potential of wool in modern sports and outdoor design is huge.

Yet wool currently makes up just 1% of global fibre production events like Performance Days are key to changing that.
