Just a reminder to rinse your empties before you put them out. We’ve had a few lately that still have a bit of milk in the bottom and which has curdled by the time we have to get them 🤢

Rinsing and returning empty bottles keeps dairy running smoothly, protects product quality, and helps us reuse bottles again and again — cutting waste, costs, and environmental impact in one simple habit.

♻️ Why rinsing matters
A quick swill with warm water stops milk residues from souring, prevents odours, and keeps bottles hygienic for reuse. Clean bottles move through our wash-and-sanitise system far more efficiently, which means fewer breakages, fewer replacements, and a lighter footprint for the whole community.
🚪 How to return your bottles
• Give each bottle a quick rinse as soon as it’s empty — warm water is perfect.
• Leave them out on your doorstep on your next delivery day.
• Pop the lids in your recycling — we can’t reuse those.
• Keep bottles upright if possible so they are easier for your milkman to pick up

"If you use a milk holder or cool bag, please stand your empties to the side of it, not inside. This means the milkman can pop your fresh bottles straight into the holder without having to put them on the floor, remove the empties, load the full bottles, and then pick the empties back up again. This is a great help to the milkman and he will really appreciate it"

We’re starting later so deliveries will be later than usual but no later than 7.30am.

Please make sure you pop an ice pack in your cool boxes or a frozen bottle of water. When we’re opening the cool boxes they are very hot . The ice will keep it chilled and the milk chilled for longer.

It’s seagull season so please do remember to leave a box out for your goods. These buggers are living it up eating full trays of eggs, bags of spuds, cheese , bacon etc.
