It’s not often that you get to enjoy a wine tasting with an incredible Bordeaux-based winemaker right here in Barry - but on Wednesday 15 July that’s exactly what you can do!

Join us for an exclusive and intimate evening with Camille Lanyou from Château Picoron. Camille will be joining us to host an informal tasting of Chateau Picoron’s exceptional wines - if you love wine you don’t want to miss this event.

Chateau Picoron are renowned for their unique and innovative wines. Creative, experimental and Merlot obsessed. Their wines are created from their organically-farmed 4.5-hectare vineyard in Castillon Cotes du Bordeaux AOP.

With a White Merlot, a Pet Nat and a carbonic Merlot as part of their range this is a rare opportunity to meet the person shaping these innovative wines, taste the range and learn more about their approach, practices and ethos.

Raise a glass (or 3!) to Welsh wine week 🍷 We’re got 3 wonderful Welsh wines pouring by the glass at Môr this weekend so you can try some fabulous home grown wines.

We’ve got a natural white wine from and a sparkling Welsh white from The Great House (both vineyards are based right here in the Vale of Glamorgan) and a rosé from all pouring by the glass or come and enjoy a Welsh wine flight to try all 3 for just £12.

New Gewürztraminer, Malbec and the Paul Mas RosOrange has made a return to our wines by the glass menu for this weekend, come and try one (or Tim says try 2 😆).

Simonsig Jamala Gewürztraminer (Stellenbosch, South Africa) is off-dry (meaning it’s on the sweeter side of things), but the sweetness is fresh and floral with bundles of notes of tropical fruit, lychee and candied grapefruit making it refreshing and very easy drinking.

Risky Business Malbec (Frankland River, Australia) makes a welcome return for all you red wine lovers who are looking for something full flavoured and a bit indulgent for their weekend sipping.

Is it a rosé or is it an orange wine…? The RosOrange is both, and it’s utterly delicious. If you’re looking for an easy entry orange wine or just want something fresh, fruity and easy drinking this organic French wine is gorgeous. Smooth, with an almost creamy texture the rosé part of the blend brings a Provence-esque dryness which the orange part of the blend delivers a complex finish.

3 x great new wines for you to try so come and grab a glass or get all 3 in a flight. We’re open as a bar until 8pm on Fridays & Saturdays so come and pay us a visit on High Street, Barry for your pre-dinner drinks and win(e)d down into the weekend 🍷

Due to huge demand we’ve released a bunch more wine tasting dates to our events calendar.

Our wine tastings were sold out until October so we’ve added extra dates for July, August, September and October so that more of you can join us.

Want to know what to expect from a wine tasting evening at Môr? Every month we pick 5 amazing wines that we think you’ll love. We always focus on great wines being produced by brilliant producers. We focus on interesting stories, new approaches and of course great tasting wines. Every month features different wines. Tickets are £30 for just the wines or for £40 you can upgrade your ticket to include a cheese board as well!

It’s back! This fabulous Malbec was a huge hit the week before last (so much of a hit that we ran through our entire supply in 2 days!) but some more cases landed yesterday so it’s back on schedule it ‘by the glass’ list.

Dense, plummy and full bodied this gorgeous Argentinian Malbec is full of blackberry and first fruits, with a sweet oak character and bundles of personality. It’s round, smooth and seriously delicious.

Sombrero Gran Malbec is back on our menu alongside a new Vinho Verde and a new orange Pinot Grigio (and plenty of old favourites too).

POV: You’re trying to book a wine tasting at Môr but realise we’re fully booked until October… 😱

We’ve heard you! And because so many of you want to come to one of our tastings but can’t get a space we’re working on adding a second wine tasting date into each month.

Each month both tastings will cover the same wines so hopefully this gives more of you a chance to join us for a fun night.

Seats for each tasting are limited to just 21 people and they go fast so we’ve set up a mailing list to give a heads up of our upcoming wine tasting dates before we put them on social media.

Chocolate Block by the glass 🍷 Well it is nearly Easter weekend and whilst this famous South African red has nothing really to do with chocolate (no it’s not a wine made with chocolate) it is juicy and full bodied with subtle dark chocolate notes along with bundles of blackberry and spice on the finish thanks to the 74% Syrah in the blend.

The Chocolate Block is just 1 of a bunch of new reds we’ve got pouring by the glass this weekend so if you ever wanted to give this smashing South African blend a try, come and grab a glass to see why everyone is raving about this wine.
